The KCFA Baltimore Scholarship was Established in 2008. The scholarship award was initially valued at $1,000 and was open to high school seniors who would be entering a four or two year college program. Prospective candidates have to attain passing grades and submit an application during the open enrollment period. The KCFA board evaluates and verifies the submitted applications and picks the award recipients. To date,19 students have been awarded a total of $23,000.
In 2018, KCFA Baltimore launched a campaign to create the KCFA Baltimore Scholarship Fund with the target to invest $100,000. The goal of the campaign is to increase the award amount from a one time award of $1,000 to up to $2,500 annually over the course of the recipient's college career. The value of the fund from generous donations is currently at $44,600. The value and the returns from the KCFA Baltimore scholarship fund will ensure that the scholarship program remains sustainable for the foreseeable future.
